Recently been reading more and more about the Suffragettes movement and how it all came about, and I was fascinated to discover that Princess Sophia Duleep Singh, the daughter of the last Maharaja of the Sikh Empire in Punjab and his Christian missionary German/Ethiopian wife, was a prominent figure who pioneered the cause of women’s rights in Britain.

Realising this, being a British Sikh myself born and bred here in London, this prompted me to delve deeper into her unique story which was unbeknown to me all these years.…

Wanted to do more talks this year as I feel it’s time to really share some of the experiences i’ve had so far art wise, can feel the growth and positive changes in work and mindset. So just as well the lovely guys at G-Shock London hit me up to take part in a Panel Talk for their G-Shock Sessions happening this Thursday, in the hope of empowering the new generation coming through…

The Panel will consist of several other UK creatives shaping their own futures including Kaylum Dennis (Award Winning Video Director / Content for Stormzy) Che Lingo (Music Artist) Reece Parkinson (BBC Radio 1Xtra), Wavey Ice (Food Company) & Zeze Millz (HeadScarfDiaries)

#NoFaceLikePhone is PINS’ first independently organised exhibition, and responds to the contemporary social phenomenon of ‘nomophobia’, the fear of being without a mobile phone.
