REST IN PHONE – POEM

Rest In Phone, close up, PiNS Artist, #NoFaceLikePhone

Instant this
Instant that
No more waiting
Feeling crap
Patience lost
Fidgety thumbs
*Sends text
Mind runs
*No reply
Feeling dies
WTF
Textpectations rise
Stories spread
Butter on toast
Melting truth
Gossiping the most
Privacy lost
Never found
Rest in phone
Look around…

I created the placards that fellow collaborator / creative Hark1karan took to the #FarmersProtest with him and has been using as part of his set up at recent book talks for his latest book, ‘KiSSAN’ 🚜📕

THE FRONT ROOM / 12-6pm
“Join us from noon for hot drinks and cakes as we hold space for neighbours and friends to meet, connect with others from the area and beyond, process the present and dream of the future together too.

SURFACE LOVE – A VALENTINES POEM

VALENTINE LIES, PiNS Artist

Surface love
Never lasts
One day of attention
Toast a glass
All smiles
Until day done
Back to same ol’
Next day, less fun
High expectations
Without inner love
Leads to empty
Surface hug
Materialised states
Comparisons made
Bitter tastes
It’s not what you get
It’s time you waste
Valuing things
Without a real place
The moment counts
But should be felt
Beyond a day
If real love is dealt

If you didn’t know, Stööki is an independent Jewellery & Apparel label based in London, presenting themed collections through interactive art and immersive events. I’ve known the guys for a good couple years now & was blessed to take part in this with such good spirited creatives – special mention of Quincey, a key member of the crew who sadly passed away a couple years ago – we facilitated a couple art workshops together in East London back in the day, real cool dude – RIP bro.…
