After officially catching the sketching bug since my New York trip, i’ve decided to spend the rest of my life travelling as much as possible and documenting moments via le sketch.
I decided to visit Paris, as it’s not only local-ish, but would feed my hunger for arts / fashion n cultural stuffs, not to mention cafes upon cafes to perch and sketch the vibe, plus the only time I visited there last was ages ago when it was more a me n the lads thing, and the time when I went Euro Disney in school, which was pretty shit tbh.…
Not much of a techy but had the opportunity to exhibit some of my tech-ish art at the recent Unbound Festival at Truman Brewery across two days, where they had all the big players in the tech game turn up and share / pitch fresh innovative ideas, tickets to attend the whole thing were up to £300, so only for the ‘seriously tech’ folk …turned out to be pretty interesting, and always nice to share art with an alternate crowd in alternate settings, connected with some good peeps…nice talk from Boiler Room CEO Blaise too, managed a quick sketch of him whilst on stage…
Thanks to The Artbrowser team and Nush (whom I met randomly, she knew of my shiz way back from Crepe City days) for taking the glorious pic of me below, love the way the AirMax colour codes nice with the ‘Shoot To Fill’ piece, *BANG BANG!…
So over the past two months or so i’ve had the crazy urge to sketch moments as oppose to taking pictures, although I still actively do that too, it’s just being able to sketch anywhere there and then, biro to hand, sketchbook ready, feels super organic and totally in flow with my whole vibe of connecting and engaging through my art…plus as my normal canvas work is a tad more polished and controlled, sketching allowed me to free up a bit and get a bit more loose with it.…
Howdy! Went to NYC for a month cos London was getting a tad boring, needed some fresh juices to get flowing again, and of course NY never fails to provide the juice…
Lot’s to share work wise and pics from the trip, will knock up a next blog post for this as I tried to upload all the pics from my phone to my email and somehow ‘over sent’ too many pics and mashed up the system, so no access yada yada…
Put together some of my oldie goldie sticks along with some fresh ones, so if you buy a Limited Edition Canvas Block from the SHOP, you get the Super Sick Sticker & Oyster Wallet Pack (normally £5, contents below) FREE along with FREE delivery, BOOM!
