ZIPPY LIPPY @ YKK – FIN

Zippy Lippy YKK London PINS Artist 1

Wrapped up Zippy Lippy last week, what a showwwwwww!

Really enjoyed the 6 week run at YKK, connecting with new energies / products and realising key things about where / how i’d like to take things forward with the the brand / art etc, serious growth vibes – plus the benefits of working with a team, road testing vibes, worked out pretty well too…more bits to come…

For now, here’s some lovely pics from the talented David Muggeridge during one of the zipful evenings…

‘MADE IN CR7’ GALLERY – THORNTON HEATH

CR7 GALLERY THORNTON HEATH 1

I spend most of my time absorbed in cultural spaces and places – whether they be museums, galleries, hotels, cafes, libraries, whatever…yet when you think about it…a cultural space can be anywhere which connects with you, uplifts your day, or just celebrates shared values…

Living in Thornton Heath for almost 12 years and spending most of my time outside the local area on the work front – you gradually find yourself realising the potential of local spaces around you – often unused or derelict, and with creative interjection, can actually enrich and enhance the well-being of communities living there…

So take Ambassador House, a disused, run-down building opposite Thornton Heath station, and why not creatively interject and pop up a temporary gallery celebrating local creative talent in the hope of bringing some brighter vibes to an often neglected, anti-social space…?…

CROYDONIANS EXHIBITION – MUSEUM OF CROYDON

Croydonians Exhibition, Museum Of Croydon 1

Mumzy came to see my face in the ‘Croydonians’ Exhibition at the Museum of Croydon – on until April 😍

One of my first ever portrait shots i’m actually happy with (normally hate them), taken by the talented Alfie Shillingford, the exhibition shows past & present faces of Croydon including composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, who’s musical career actually helped create the PRS for Music back in 1914 partly as consequence of the deliberations over Coleridge-Taylor’s finances when he died in 1912 🎼✊🏽

Other fellow Croydonians include: Kate Moss, Stormzy, Emily Blunt, Tracey Emin, David Lean, Philip Green, Vicky Pollard…the greatness is real, come to Croydon, ha
