‘MADE IN CR7’ GALLERY – THORNTON HEATH

CR7 GALLERY THORNTON HEATH 1

I spend most of my time absorbed in cultural spaces and places – whether they be museums, galleries, hotels, cafes, libraries, whatever…yet when you think about it…a cultural space can be anywhere which connects with you, uplifts your day, or just celebrates shared values…

Living in Thornton Heath for almost 12 years and spending most of my time outside the local area on the work front – you gradually find yourself realising the potential of local spaces around you – often unused or derelict, and with creative interjection, can actually enrich and enhance the well-being of communities living there…

So take Ambassador House, a disused, run-down building opposite Thornton Heath station, and why not creatively interject and pop up a temporary gallery celebrating local creative talent in the hope of bringing some brighter vibes to an often neglected, anti-social space…? Why not indeed, which is what local artist / architect Mark Warren kicked off alongside CR7 Square, a small group of peeps co-designing a new civic square outside the building…it’s a stART mate…

Was happy to include some poster prints: Notifried & No Face Like Phone, alongside prints by others including fellow art besties Hark1Karan and Samantha Warren

Gallery open all hours and available to all (obvs)
