My gift to you this Valentines (as I have love for you) is an invite to a solo exhibition of fresh art works and the chance to meet Lacy Marilyn in the flesh next week…she’s literally a work of art, literally…
This is all possible thanks to the lovely team at Gramercy Park Studios, with whom i’ve shown works with before, and only recently decided to to put on a mini-show for you, a chance to connect & engage in a great, intimate space in a great Central London location…
I’m definitely getting the bug of showing in non-gallery venues now, as all that really matters is a diverse group of people get to see the works instead of the same ‘ol arty lot, plus alternate venues tend to have way more character too, which is nice…
Soooo, this will be a one day evening event only and RSVP essential to: pins.show@gmail.com
Studio settings in the former HQ building of The Guardian newspaper in Farringdon, where I spent just over a year building the body of work for my current #NoFaceLikePhone exhibition at DigitasLBi. The growth as an artist that took shape here was a key building block to finding my personal work flow and refining my aesthetic even more. It was a year of not knowing what was gonna come from it but knowing I was building something of value, from an honest place, staying true to the vision I sort of had but didn’t, but then it worked out cos I believed in it, if that makes sense…so in a nutshell, get out your comfort zones, find your process, explore ideas and share your greatness by any means #PushItNeverStop
Hope you had a lovely Xmas and your bellies are packed out for the entire week…
Thought i’d share some images so far from the #NoFaceLikePhone exhibition currently on a DigitasLBi up in Brick Lane…
Have to say i’m appreciating the space even more as time goes on, I mean it oozes character, great mesh-like fencing, nice floor separation, the lighting could be a touch better but hey, it aint a gallery, and feel the main ‘chill out’ area with colour co-ordinated, moveable sofa blocks are mad comfy-ish…great for in-depth, mellowed to-the-max convos, which i’ve found enjoyable…
So the space will remain open to visit this week (normal working hours/times of 9am-5pm), closed over NY weekend, then back to normal from 3rd January til 22nd, i’ll be down every weekend 12-6pm from then too, so feel free to whizz over and say ello 🙂
An intro vid to #NoFaceLikePhone shot during the first showing at 14 Percy Street, London W1, which was a pretty damn good night, if you were there, you know!
Big thanks to Jas aka DigitalSingh for the vid.
Also, the #NFLP show continues at the new residency at DigitasLBi, 146 Brick Lane, E1 6RU till 22nd January 2017
I’ll be down most Saturdays / Sundays from 1-5pm for personal art tours of the work, or the space will be open normal working hours during the week, so feel free to pop in…
