Met the super lovely (way more prettier in person) FKA Twigs last week during the launch of her Mini Zine with Nike at Nike Town…
Have to say I’m a big fan of the ‘Do You Believe In More’ campaign between these two, not just because of the art direction / sick visuals which you must’ve seen blasted out across London, but because Nike needed something to ‘fresh up’ the brand which was getting abit too, well, boring…and along comes FKA with bags of creative energy using the platform to celebrate diversity and individuality, bringing a unique flavour to the Nike brand, BOOMness!…
Studio settings in the former HQ building of The Guardian newspaper in Farringdon, where I spent just over a year building the body of work for my current #NoFaceLikePhone exhibition at DigitasLBi. The growth as an artist that took shape here was a key building block to finding my personal work flow and refining my aesthetic even more. It was a year of not knowing what was gonna come from it but knowing I was building something of value, from an honest place, staying true to the vision I sort of had but didn’t, but then it worked out cos I believed in it, if that makes sense…so in a nutshell, get out your comfort zones, find your process, explore ideas and share your greatness by any means #PushItNeverStop
Big love to the super lovely Nicola Richards for inviting me down to talk on her Positive Vibes show on Croydon Radio, covering my upcoming exhibition #NoFaceLikePhone and general PINSy related stuff.
Podcast below (my first ever podcast btw) which i’m rather happy with, so please listen, enjoy and share if you like 🙂
