This time last year I was in Punjab, India visiting relatives and thinking I need to reach here more often. Mad how things change in a space of a year. It’s been pretty sad to see elderly citizens having to fight for their rights to live a normal life during the protests, but then I’ve also been super inspired by their strength & resilience in not taking any shit, maintaining their integrity and marching on whatever the outcome – the unified community spirit amongst all people regardless of faith & religion, have shown how people can move if together, not divided.…
The mad thing is,
You don’t even need a lot,
To live a lot,
Just the basics,
A sense of self,
Openness,
No fake shit,
But let’s face it,
Power corrupts,
In the wrong hands,
People divide,
Part of the plans,
To eliminate love,
Amongst us people,
Rich vs poor,
It aint ever equal,
But united we stay,
Together we march,
Don’t waste your loo roll,
On THEIR greedy ass!…
Too outdoorsy,
For the indoors,
Catch me sketching,
Pause,
Have a natter or two,
Passing traffic,
E-scooters whizzin’ through,
Fresh air feels,
Magic,
No restrictions here,
Just re-fixed states,
Stop & stare,
Capture moments,
Cos I care.
