Studio settings in the former HQ building of The Guardian newspaper in Farringdon, where I spent just over a year building the body of work for my current #NoFaceLikePhone exhibition at DigitasLBi. The growth as an artist that took shape here was a key building block to finding my personal work flow and refining my aesthetic even more. It was a year of not knowing what was gonna come from it but knowing I was building something of value, from an honest place, staying true to the vision I sort of had but didn’t, but then it worked out cos I believed in it, if that makes sense…so in a nutshell, get out your comfort zones, find your process, explore ideas and share your greatness by any means #PushItNeverStop
Recently collaborated with Antalis UK & Arjowiggins Graphic (the leading manufacturer of recycled papers) which involved me customising a Cocoon paper ‘speaker’ box, which then attaches to the Mighty Boomball, a compact but powerful portable speaker system that can turn literally any surface into a speaker…
Have to say I was pretty impressed with the boom quality from the box, totally wasn’t expecting the boomness, but yeh, boom ting!…
Now im a doodler, and I doodle almost everyday here n there, but since reading an article in the Metro about how doodling helps focus the mind, which I kinda knew anyway, I literally cannot stop doodling even more so! So, i’ve decided when I wake up each day, im gonna have my Weetabix n cuppa, then commit an hour or so straight doodling, free flow, no plan, just BLAM!…
