JAMES WHALE FUND – ONLINE AUCTION
I recently got selected to take part in an online campaign by the James Whale Fund for Kidney Cancer, supporting children diagnosed with kidney cancer. Several celebrities, TV presenters, artists and designers including Catherine Tate, Matt Lucas, Mel C, Emma Thompson, and Tess Ainley, were asked to customise the outline of a whale, drawn and donated by Daily Mail cartoonist Pugh.
The idea was then to auction off each customised whale, with the help of Jeffrey Archer (which took place last week at Clarendon Fine Art, Dover Street). That one-night-only charity event help raise almost £10,000 from the live auction of 13 of the whale paintings created by various politicians and art stars including Sir Quentin Blake, David Cameron, Mayor of London, James Whale, Lord Jeffrey Archer, Mark McLaughlin, and Jonathan Pugh. All proceeds will aim to make sure that all the children have access to the best possible care and professional support.
For a chance to own some unique artwork drawn by public figures including my ‘Krispy Whale’ piece (A5 size), the fund have also launched an online auction. You can now bid on the customised whales online by clicking HERE
Auction officially ends on: June 14th 11:59pm
Real nice being part of this…so please show you support and bid what you can! 🙂
