WARWICK SIKH SOCIETY – GRAF & CHAT SESSION

As an advocate for youth empowerment, I was happy to be invited by the Warwick Sikh Society to share my creative journey and deliver a workshop with the students in Warwick Uni, taking inspiration from creatives sessions I delivered at Sikh Gurdwara South London over the summer.
I was moved by the collectiveness of the young society, creating space in the Chaplaincy (space for students & staff of all faiths to use) similar to a gurdwara setting, just led by forward thinking students with no heavy hierarchy or committee politics, which I rated. Even having a Rehraas Sahib (daily evening prayer) at the start of the session blessed the vibes that much more.
Putting together bits for any slideshow presentation you often realise how much work you’ve done over the years, making an impact in ways that you may not witness first hand at times, but you go, do your thing and hopefully something connects at some point, just showing up is a win these days…
Am grateful & hopeful for the students around the world right now, going through a whole lot of BS created by select ‘adults’ who simply don’t care about their voices as well as wider communities trying to simply live.
Special thanks to Jeevan for making this happen 🙂
