SUPA MARKET THIS WEEKEND!
I will be joining the Supa Academy a social enterprise for enterprising young people, with the likes of River Island, Barclays LifeSkills, Facebook and Pepsi at the UKs first youth led pop up market in Londons Brick Lane over this weekend…
My role will be to provide a platform, in this case a PINS pop up retail space, through which I will teach young people various skills involved in running a shop aswell some of the entrepreneurial skills I’ve picked up along the way…
Thanks to Bejay, co-founder of Supa Academy and the main man behind #SupaMarket, an idea which has taken almost 12 months to develop and fine tune, so props to him and the team involved in following that vision through…oh, and did I mention this dude is only 19! And he made £15,000 at 15 running his own #SupaTuck business at school, have to support them young movers and shakers in the game!
Literally just came back now from the setting up my pitch, opposite the Pepsi Bar in the main space…really happy with what I’ve managed to put together in the time frame, quite possibly the best pop-up type thing I’ve done ever with a Supa sikkk backdrop!
Oh and there is no cash transactions at this event, I know, mad, only card and contactless payments across both days…half of all money raised through the transactions goes back into the academy and the supporting partners to help continue the great projects, workshops and events…
